Obituary for Willa Dean Betts
Willa Dean Camplin Betts, age 77, of Springfield passed away Sunday,
December 13, 2015 at her home. Funeral services will be held Saturday,
December 19, 2015 at 2pm in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral
Home in Springfield with Brother Douglas Goodfellow officiating. Burial
will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery with Nathan Goodfellow, Chuck
Newcomb, Dale Newcomb, Aaron Goodfellow, Zack Lopez, Ken Morrison,
Timothy Goodfellow, Matthew Goodfellow and Christopher Betts serving as
pallbearers. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday,
December 18, 2015 from 6-8pm and again on Saturday from 1pm until the
hour of service at 2pm.
Mrs. Betts was born January 6, 1938 in White House, TN to the late Edgar
Dean and Robbie Willa Stone Camplin. She was a housewife, was a member
of the YMCA and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Betts is preceded in death by her
husband, Kenneth Carl Betts, her brother, Richard Miller and her
granddaughter, April Hornbeck. Mrs. Betts is survived by her son, James
Carl (Anita) Betts of Mason, MI; daughters, Connie Lou (Douglas)
Goodfellow of Hammond, IN, Carla Dean (Joseph Viaches) Alexander of
Greenbrier, Paula Sue (James) Morrison of Eaton Rapids, MI and Wendy
Gale (Michael) Lopez of Rives Junction, MI; brothers, Bruce (Pam) Miller
of Saucier, MS and Tommy Camplin of Detroit, MI; sisters, Linda
Vollentine of Hedgesville, WV and Gloria Hebbe of Austin, TX; 20
grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of these
arrangements.
